Tamil stalwart actor Kamal Haasan and maverick director Shankar are all set to commence shooting for the sequel to their 1996 blockbuster patriotic drama, Bharatheeyudu, from January 18. Lyca Productions will bankroll this highly-anticipated project with a massive budget.
Meanwhile, ever since the announcement of Bharatheeyudu 2, there have been several speculations that young Tamil star Simbu will be playing a key role in the film. Now, the latest buzz is that Simbu will be playing Kamal’s grandson in the film. However, an official announcement is awaited to confirm this buzz.
Star heroine Kajal Aggarwal will play the leading lady in Bharatheeyudu 2. A leading Bollywood star will be seen in a crucial role in the film. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
