Vishwak Sen’s last film, Laila, failed to impress the audiences, and the actor is now gearing up to entertain with the comedy entertainer Funky. Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame is the director. Today, the makers unveiled the teaser, and it has the director’s trademark punches and witty remarks all over it.
Anudeep’s humor is generally simple and clean in nature, and the latest promotional video is proof of it. With the opening dialogue itself, Anudeep makes it clear that Funky is a Jathi Ratnalu-like comedy drama with humor that may appear exaggerated but never crosses the line. Vishwak Sen plays a film director who visits his school and says the torturous education there made him a filmmaker.
Kayadu Lohar seems to be playing a producer, and in one scene, she assumes Vishwak Sen is under pressure, while the reality turns out to be something different and funny. The teaser is filled with non-stop quirky and amusing dialogues promising entertainment throughout.
Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are producing Funky under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music composer. The release date is yet to be locked.
