Acclaimed Sandalwood actor-director Rishab Shetty’s fantasy drama, Kantara Chapter 1, has completed a weeklong journey at cinemas worldwide. Also starring young beauty Rukmini Vasanth in a lead role, the Hombale Films’ production continues to have a decent run at the box office and is gearing up to enter the Rs 500 crore club.
In its opening week, Kantara Chapter 1 collected a whopping Rs 457.71 crore. With this humongous collection, the film has become the highest-grossing Indian movie among the 2025 releases. In an impressive feat, the film’s Hindi version is eyeing the Rs 150 crore milestone, while the Kannada version has already surpassed the Rs 100 crore club.
