For a long time, Shankar has been planning to make a film based on the popular Tamil novel Velpaari. It seems that the project is finally seeing some development. According to Kollywood media reports, the pre-production of Velpaari is currently underway, with Shankar planning to take the film on floors from June 2026.
It is being said that a top actor from the industry will headline the project, but as of now, there is no info about the protagonist. It needs to be seen who will take the risk and produce this big-ticket entertainer since Shankar’s previous two outings turned out to be massive flops.
