Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu’s Akhanda 2 is scheduled to hit the silver screens on December 5, 2025, in 2D and 3D formats. Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the banners of 14 Reels Plus, the movie is presented by M. Tejaswini. Samyukta, Aadi Pinishetty, and Harshaali Malhotra played key roles. Ahead of the release, Samyukta interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

How did you become part of Akhanda 2?

Initially, Boyapati garu told me the script, and I asked my team if my dates were available. They said no, but I told them that I wanted to do this film at any cost. Then they adjusted my schedules. Boyapati Sreenu garu crafted Akhanda 2 with great vision. It will exceed our imagination.

Tell us about your character in the film.

It will be extremely stylish. My role becomes very significant in a key sequence. I was told that I should perform a song, which made me nervous. I haven’t done such a mass song earlier. I decided to give my best, but my knees didn’t cooperate. Later, I underwent physiotherapy. We must entertain the audience. That’s the final goal of an artist.

How was it working with Balakrishna garu?

Balayya garu is a very friendly person. I met him for the first time in an ad shoot. He spoke to me well. He is a director’s artist. Whatever the director asks him to do, he does that. I like that quality in him. It was very comfortable working with him. He is passionate about Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. He asked me to grace an awareness programme related to cancer.

What’s your favorite Balayya garu’s film?

I liked his recent film Daaku Maharaaj pretty much. That’s my favorite film of Balayya garu. It received a great response in Kerala as well. Also, I watched Akhanda.

You seem to be mostly doing mythological films in your career. What do you say about this?

I am being offered such films more. I haven’t planned anything, but it is happening naturally to me.

Could you tell us about your future projects?

I am playing an action character in Swayambhu. My role is well-designed in Nari Nari Naduma Murari. Also, it was a great experience working with Puri garu.
