Tamil director Vetrimaaran is currently busy with the works of his next film headlined by Simbu. After wrapping up this project, the acclaimed filmmaker will move on to the much-anticipated Vada Chennai 2 with Dhanush. Besides direction, Vetrimaaran has also been producing films for a long time under his banner, Grass Root Film Company.
Bad Girl, produced by Vetrimaaran, is set for release this Friday. Speaking at the film’s promotional event, the director revealed that he will be shutting down his production house, citing immense pressure. He further clarified that Bad Girl will be his last venture as a producer.

Vetrimaaran stated, “Being a director is easy, but the same is not the case with being a producer. Andrea’s Manushi has gone through multiple court hearings, two revising committee screenings, and a censor screening. Bad Girl also had to go through a revising committee and was awarded a UA 16+ certificate. It’s extremely challenging to survive as a small producer who depends on financiers. Hence, we have decided to shut down our production house.”
