Top Bollywood filmmaker acquires Geetha Govindam’s Hindi remake rights

Released in August last year, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic comedy, Geetha Govindam, went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood’s history by grossing nearly Rs 130 crores worldwide. The film was directed by Parasuram and Bunny Vas produced it under Allu Aravind’s presentation.

Now, the latest update is the Bollywood hit machine Rohit Shetty, the director-producer behind some of the biggest hits such as the Singham franchise, the Golmaal franchise and Simmba, has acquired Geetha Govindam’s Hindi remake rights. However, Rohit Shetty, who is currently busy with Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavamsham, may not direct Geetha Govindam’s Hindi version. Stay tuned for further updates.
