Thug Life goes down badly in Tamil Nadu

Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated film Thug Life has delivered a shocking performance at the Tamil Nadu box office.

Despite massive hype and a strong pre-release buzz, the film has opened to surprisingly low occupancy across theaters in the state. The day two numbers are shockingly low, and the occupancy has dropped over 50%.

Trade analysts report that collections have been underwhelming from day one, leaving distributors and exhibitors disappointed.

The film, directed by Mani Ratnam and featuring a star-studded cast, was expected to set the box office on fire, but the actual turnout has raised concerns.

Factors such as mixed word-of-mouth and the lack of a strong emotional connection are being cited for the poor response of the film.
