Two years later, the makers have announced a documentary titled RRR: Behind & Beyond, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this masterpiece. While fans were excited, the trailer sparked mixed reactions. To everyone’s surprise, the documentary is filmed entirely in English, rather than in regional languages like Telugu, which is deeply tied to the film’s roots.
Fans also expected an OTT release with multilingual options to ensure accessibility for diverse audiences. Instead, the makers announced a theatrical release, likely worldwide, limiting its reach. Regional audiences, including fans in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even North India, may struggle to connect with the English-only format, despite their love for RRR.
A more inclusive approach – such as an OTT release with multiple languages or using CineDubs for language customization – would have been ideal. With the release date of December 20, 2024, just days away, the lack of clarity on screening locations has further disappointed fans.
