Bollywood director Om Raut, who was heavily criticized for his work on Prabhas’ Adipurush, has been roped in to direct the prestigious biopic Kalam: The Missile Man of India. The film chronicles the life and legacy of Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. National Award-winning Kollywood star Dhanush will be playing the legendary scientist and former President of India.
In a recent interview, Om Raut was all praise for Dhanush. He said he couldn’t have found a better actor than Dhanush to play Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Kalam: The Missile Man of India. “Dhanush is a phenomenal actor. I’m glad that he is kind of accepted to do the part. He is somebody that I really look up to and I’m looking forward to working with him on this film,” the director added.
Kalam: The Missile Man of India will be produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series and Tollywood producers Abhishek Agarwal and Anil Sunkara. The film’s first look was unveiled at the Cannes Film Market in May 2025. More details about this prestigious project will be out soon.
