Released as a small film with least expectations, anchor turned director Ohmkar’s Dasara release, the horror-comedy Raju Gari Gadhi, surprised everyone by becoming a blockbuster. The film is still going steady at the box-office and it has already earned huge profits for its makers and distributors. Now, latest reports reveal that the film will soon be remade in Tamil.
Reports say that one of the producers of Raju Gari Gadhi, popular cinematographer Diwakar, is looking to remake the film in Tamil. The craze for horror comedies is huge in Tamil Nadu and most of the recent Tamil horror films like Pisachi, Demonte Colony and Nayanthara’s Maaya have been solid box-office hits. It is yet to be known if Ohmkar will make his Kollywood debut with the remake.
