A couple of days ago, the makers of action hero Gopichand and director Sampath Nandi’s latest film officially announced that star heroine Tamannaah will be playing the female lead in the movie. This is the first time that Tamannaah is paired with Gopichand.
Now, the latest reports reveal that Tamannaah will be playing the role of a women’s kabaddi coach in this as-yet-untitled film. Tamannaah says that her role will be a tribute to iconic Indian coaches like Pullela Gopichand, Ramakanth Achrekar and Satpal Singh who have made an invaluable contribution in changing the face of Indian sports.
Tamannaah will soon undergo training in kabaddi and she will also work on her physical fitness and body language to look believable in her role. Srinivasa Chitturi, the producer of Samantha’s U-Turn, will be bankrolling this film. The project will be launched in October.
