Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss joined forces to deliver the action drama Madharaasi. Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead in this Tamil actioner, which grossed over Rs. 100 crore at the box office.
Amazon Prime Video has announced that Madharaasi will start streaming from October 1, 2025, in all major Indian languages, including Telugu. The gap between theatrical and OTT releases is just 4 weeks.
While the Tamil version was well received, the film didn’t perform as expected in the Telugu states. Whether it will find a second chance on OTT remains to be seen.
The movie also features Vidyut Jammwal, Shabeer, Biju Menon, and others in pivotal roles. Produced by NV Prasad under Sri Lakshmi Movies, the film’s soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
