Bollywood star Aamir Khan is gearing up to entertain audiences with the sports comedy-drama Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R.S. Prasanna. The movie is the official adaptation of the Spanish film Champions. A hot topic currently stirring discussions in the film industry is the significant age gap between male and female leads.

The conversation has reignited with Genelia Deshmukh (37) being paired opposite Aamir Khan (60) in Sitaare Zameen Par. Interestingly, Aamir played a key role in Genelia’s Bollywood journey by introducing her in his nephew Imran Khan’s film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Aamir expressed his views on this topic in an interview with Indian Express.

The star actor said, “I know. But that was a long time ago. And ab Imran bhi kafi meri age ka ho gaya hai. That thought did come to me, but in the film, we are both playing characters in the age group of early 40s. She’s around that age. I’m 60, but in today’s day and age, we have the advantage of VFX. We used to rely on prosthetics earlier, but with technology, age is no longer a barrier for actors.”
