Multifaceted actress Shruti Haasan is back with a bang. In a rare feat, the svelte beauty had two releases, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy, on the same day this Sankranthi season. Icing on the cake is that both the movies have turned out to be huge money-spinners at the box office and are sure to end up as the highest grossers in Shruti’s career.
Shruti had a brief lull in her career a few years ago, when she took a break from acting and concentrated on her music career. She returned to Tollywood with a huge blockbuster in the form of Ravi Teja’s Krack. She then appeared in Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, which was an average grosser.
Now, with two back-to-back hits this Sankranthi, Shruti has set her eyes on a hat-trick with Prabhas’ highly-anticipated gangster drama, Salaar, which will be her next big release. She plays a character named Aadya in this Prashanth Neel directorial. The film is slated for a huge pan-India release on September 28th, and Shruti’s success streak will definitely add additional buzz to this magnum opus.
