Karuppu marks the next release for actor Suriya, who has been seeking a strong box-office comeback. For the first time, he teams up with RJ Balaji, who steps into his third directorial venture after just two previous films.
At a recent event where he appeared as the chief guest, RJ Balaji opened up about Karuppu and its release plans. He revealed that the team initially aimed for a Diwali release. The film was completed on time, and after watching the final cut, the producers, known for being more critical than Blue Sattai, were thoroughly impressed.
“I don’t want to hype the film much. I’ve also played a role in it, and we’ll be arriving on a big day,” teased the director.
On Diwali, the makers unveiled the single ‘God Mode’, composed by Sai Abhyankkar. Dream Warrior Pictures has bankrolled this rural action drama, which features Trisha as the female lead.
