King Nagarjuna recently impressed audiences with his portrayal in Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula. In a few days, he is set to entertain as the antagonist in Rajinikanth’s much-hyped Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, the Tollywood star is also carefully planning his upcoming projects.
Speculations are rife about Nagarjuna’s 100th film, and as per the buzz, Tamil director Karthik is likely to helm the landmark project. Interestingly, Nagarjuna is also said to be considering another project. Reportedly it will be a remake of the Tamil emotional drama Ayothi, which featured Sashikumar and Preethi Asrani in the lead roles.
Ayothi gained wider recognition after its OTT debut. Nagarjuna was reportedly moved by the film’s emotional depth and is keen on bringing it to the Telugu audience. The word is that the discussions are currently underway with the original producers, Trident Arts, for the remake rights. An official announcement is awaited.
