This year Malayalam industry got its biggest ever hit in the form of Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra. The superhero film headlined by Kalyani Priyadarshan and produced by Dulquer Salmaan earned over Rs. 300 crore gross globally, thereby becoming the first Malayalam film to achieve this feat.
On the other hand, Kannada industry had its all-time second biggest grosser with Kantara: Chapter 1 headlined and directed by Rishab Shetty. The action drama collected over Rs. 800 crores gross and is also the biggest Indian grosser this year.
Both these films are set to have their digital premiere on October 31st in multiple languages. While Jio Hotstar holds Lokah’s digital rights, Prime Video holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of Kantara. These two films are set to take digital screens by storm starting this Friday.
