With Pushpa 2: The Rule, Icon Star Allu Arjun created a sensation of sorts at the PAN India level. The movie grossed over Rs. 1800 crores globally. Especially in the Hindi belt, the action drama went bonkers, earning over Rs. 800 crores nett.
The mega blockbuster is now all set for its Japan release. According to the latest update, Pushpa 2 will hit the big screens in Japan on January 16, 2026. The Japanese trailer has also been unveiled by the makers. Geek Pictures Shochiku will handle the distribution.
Will the Japanese release help this Sukumar’s directorial go past the collections of Aamir Khan’s Dangal? Let’s wait and see. Interestingly, some parts of Pushpa 2 were shot in Japan, with the star actor mouthing some Japanese dialogues.
Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Sunil played key roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the biggie features a soundtrack by Devi Sri Prasad, complemented by additional scoring from Sam CS.
