The upcoming action drama Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Sreenu, has wrapped up censor formalities. The biggie was awarded a U/A certificate. The film’s final runtime has been locked at 2 hours 45 minutes.

According to early censor-screening reports, the action sequences have been described as “sensational,” designed to deliver high-octane thrills while drawing heavily on themes from Sanatana Dharma. Sources present after the certification process say that Balakrishna is presented in a powerful Aghora avatar, a fierce, spiritually charged persona that blends raw action with religious symbolism.

The film reportedly balances divine elements, emotional drama involving mother sequences, and pure mass action in a way that’s meant to resonate across audiences. Also, it is said that the film’s world will be fresh compared to previous films. The same is the response from censor officials across all languages.

Producers under the banner 14 Reels Plus by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta, the movie is set for a worldwide release on December 5, 2025, with paid premieres underway in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana tomorrow.
