Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga presented the Behindwoods Gold Hall Of Fame Actor In A Lead Role 2023 Award to hero Nani for his 2023 year-end hit drama, Hi Nanna. Along with Nani, the film’s leading lady Mrunal Thakur and director Shouryuv were also honoured with the Best Actress and Best Debut Director awards respectively.
The Behindwoods Gold Medals awards ceremony was held in Chennai on Sunday night. Icing on the cake was Sandeep Reddy Vanga was honored with the Best Director award at the star-studded awards night. Nani was awarded for his heart wrenching performance as a single father who lives with his 6-year-old little daughter who battles cystic fibrosis, played impeccably by Kiara Khanna.
Produced jointly by Mohan Cherukuri, Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Murthy K. S, the film went on to gross close to Rs 58 crore at the box office globally.
