Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to entertain audiences with the upcoming action drama Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The biggie is scheduled for release during the Independence Day weekend and is carrying massive hype all over. Rajinikanth has completed his portions for Coolie and is now busy shooting for Jailer 2.
The first installment, Jailer, was a massive blockbuster. It displayed Rajini’s strong calibre at the box office after a string of flops. Today marks the birthday of Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar. The filmmaker celebrated the special occasion on the sets of Jailer 2 along with Thalaivar. Pictures from the celebration are now going viral on social media.
The current schedule is focused on scenes featuring Rajini and Yogi Babu. Interestingly, reports suggest that Balakrishna will be making a special cameo in the film, though an official confirmation is awaited. Jailer 2 is being produced by Sun Pictures with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is expected to hit theatres in Summer 2026.
