Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra’s latest film Param Sundari had a fairly average start, but the numbers have shown some movement over the weekend. The romantic comedy, directed by Tushar Jalota, opened to mixed reactions yet seems to be gaining traction with audiences.
On Friday, day 1, the film brought in around Rs. 7.36 crore nett. Saturday turned out a little better, with collections touching Rs. 10.07 crore, which pushed the two-day domestic total to roughly Rs. 17.44 crore. Overseas business has added a good chunk as well, taking the worldwide gross close to Rs. 29.7 crore.
Trade insiders expect Sunday to perform stronger, which could give the film a more respectable weekend figure.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the project also features Sanjay Kapoor, Renji Panicker and Abhishek Banerjee, with music from the Sachin–Jigar duo.
