Padayappa (Narasimha in Telugu), the most iconic and remarkable film in Superstar Rajinikanth’s career, is coming back to cinemas after 25 glorious years. It is set for a grand release on December 12, 2025, coinciding with the star’s birthday.

A special video featuring Rajini was released on this special occasion, and the star of mannerisms said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first person considered and even approached to play the well-written antagonist character Neelambari.

However, Aishwarya didn’t accept it because of date issues, and the offer then went to Ramya Krishnan, who excelled in the role and delivered a performance with a swag and style no one can match.

Later, Rajini and Aishwarya worked together in Robo, and it was also a box office sensation. Fans can’t wait to see Rajini’s swag-filled performance in Padayappa, but it is the Telugus who are unlucky to not have its Telugu version released in theaters.
