Legendary music director Ilaiyaraaja sent a legal notice to the makers of Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly for using his old songs without approval. Though Mythri Movie Makers replied, the composer felt the response was bland and approached the Madras High Court.

Justice Senthikumar passed an interim order restraining the production house from exhibiting, screening, selling, distributing, publishing, or broadcasting Good Bad Ugly on any platform, including OTT. We earlier reported the possibility of the gangster action drama being removed from Netflix, and that has happened now.

Following the court’s order, Netflix has stopped streaming the Ajith starrer, and the film won’t be up on the digital platform until the High Court permits it. In his plea, Ilaiyaraaja argued that his songs “Otha Rubayum Tharen” (Nattupura Pattu), “Ilamai Idho Idho” (Sakalakala Vallavan), and “En Jodi Manja Kuruvi” (Vikram) were used without his authorization.
