The title teaser for DC, Kollywood star director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s maiden film as an actor, was released this evening. Also starring Bollywood actress Wamiqa Gabbi in a lead role, the film is directed by Arun Matheswaran, and it features a soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The DC title teaser showcases Lokesh Kanagaraj in a bloody intense role as he sports a rugged look well complemented by his long hair and thick beard. The star director is seen walking in slow motion with a knife in his hands.
On the other hand, Wamiqa, who is seemingly portraying a prostitute’s role, grabs a Nirodh packet and walks ahead. Both Lokesh and Wamiqa cross paths, igniting sparks of passion, intensity, and intrigue. While Lokesh plays Devadas, Wamiqa essays Chandra, hinting that DC is a violent retelling of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s epic Bengali novel Devdas.
The exquisite period artwork, the moody and evocative visuals, and Anirudh’s blazing English song in the background intensify the overall mood. Needless to say, Lokesh fans and movie lovers are bowled over by DC’s title teaser, and they are eagerly waiting for the film to hit theaters at the earliest.
