Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude has hit the theatres yesterday and is off to an strong start at the box office. Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the movie collected around Rs. 22 crores gross globally according to the makers. Mamitha Baiju played the female lead.
Elated by the positive response, the makers held a success meet in Hyderabad today. During the event, producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar stated that Dude has emerged as the Diwali winner across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala, receiving an extraordinary response from audiences.
The producers requested not to differentiate between the first and second halves, emphasizing that the general audience has no complaints about the latter hour portions. Mythri producers further added that they are confident the movie will continue its good run and turn into a blockbuster this festive season.
