The heartbreaking stampede at Kollywood star and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party President Thalapathy Vijay’s election rally in Tamil Nadu’s Karur has claimed the lives of 38 people and left nearly 60 people injured. The victims are undergoing treatment at government and private hospitals in Karur.
Needless to say, Vijay is devastated by the stampede tragedy. He took to X and penned an emotional note on the incident. “My heart is shattered; I am writhing in unbearable, indescribable pain and sorrow that words cannot express,” the actor-turned-politician wrote in his post.
Vijay went on to extend his deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of his “dear brothers and sisters” who lost their lives in Karur. “I pray for the swift recovery of those receiving treatment in the hospital,” he concluded. While vijay hasn’t mentioned anything yet, the buzz is that Vijay will be visiting the families of the deceased very soon.
