Mammootty’s latest experimental film, Bramayugam, which was released only in “Black & White,” is setting the cash registers ringing. Written and directed by Rahul Sadasivam, the movie opened to positive critical reviews. The word of mouth is no different, and it is translating into box office performance.
In the first weekend, Bramayugam collected around 12 crores gross from Kerala. As per the estimates, the horror thriller earned 3 crores gross from ROI (Rest Of India) in these three days, taking the domestic collections to 15 crores gross. In overseas, Bramayugam collected close to 2 million dollars (16 crores), which is stupefying.
The worldwide collection of Bramayugam in the opening weekend adds up to 31 crores gross. Bramayugam is the first film of Night Shift Studios, the production house that was established to produce horror-thriller genre films exclusively. Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz, and Manikandan R. Achari played prominent roles.
