Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra is showing no signs of slowing down even on working days. Tuesday’s trend is bigger than Monday’s, indicating that the film is set for a solid long run. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan, the movie has now unlocked a major milestone.

Lokah is now the highest-grossing South Indian female-led film, earning over Rs. 93 crores gross in six days. Previously, the record was held by Keerthy Suresh’s evergreen classic Mahanati, released in 2018. The biographical film, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, collected a whopping Rs. 85 crores gross globally.

The seven-year-long-standing record has now been shattered by the Mollywood superhero film. Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah also stars Naslen and Sandy in pivotal roles. In Telugu, the film was distributed by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainment.
