Kalyani Priyadarshan’s latest outing, Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, is minting huge numbers at the box office. Directed by Dominic Arun, the film has emerged as the clear Onam winner and is set to storm past ₹100 crores gross very soon. The Telugu version is also performing fairly well.

However, a dialogue mouthed by Lokah’s antagonist, played by Sandy, targeting Bengaluru city and women, has not gone down well with the Karnataka audience and has sparked a debate online. Since the sentiments of the Karnataka people were hurt, producer Dulquer Salmaan and his team have decided to remove the dialogue altogether from the film.

Apologising for the oversight, the makers stated that they place people above everything else and requested the audience to forgive their mistake. Whether the apology will cool down the Karnataka audience or the issue will continue to create noise remains to be seen.
