Karthi fans were left a little disappointed when the much-awaited sequel Kaithi 2, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was pushed back. But there’s some cheer on the way.
The Meiyazhagan star’s next film Vaa Vaathiyaar is back in the news after the team shared a fresh update. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, known for Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum, the action-comedy is now lined up for a December release.
The makers haven’t locked the exact date yet. Karthi plays a quirky cop in the film, with Krithi Shetty as his romantic lead.
The cast also brings together names like Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anandaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, G. M. Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, and P. L. Thenappan. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner, the film will carry music by Santhosh Narayanan.
