It’s well-known that SIIMA and CCL co-founder Vishnu Vardhan Induri will be co-producing a biopic on legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in Hindi. Titled 83, the film was launched in September last year. Padmaavat hero Ranveer Singh reprises Kapil Dev in this much-awaited biopic.
83 was supposed to release on April 5, 2019. However, as per the latest updates, the film will hit the screens on August 30, 2019. The regular shooting will kick-start soon after Ranveer wraps up Gully Boy. Kabir Khan, the director of Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will helm this prestigious project, while Bollywood production house Phantom Films will co-produce the movie. 83 will also release in Telugu.
