After the massive success of Kantara, Rishab Shetty is back with something even bigger. The much-awaited prequel, Kantara: Chapter 1, has officially been announced, and this time, it comes with a larger budget and a grander scale.
To mark Rishab Shetty’s birthday, the makers dropped the first-look poster, and it’s nothing short of epic. It shows him as a muscular, bearded warrior, wielding an axe and shield, charging through a blazing inferno. The fiery visual has already set social media buzzing and hints at an intense, mythological story that dives deeper into the roots of ancient legends.
In a first for the franchise, the pan-Indian biggie Kantara: Chapter 1 will also be released in Bengali, making the reach even wider. The film is all set to hit the big screen on October 2, 2025.
The shoot is currently underway, and the team is working full throttle to wrap it up quickly. Backed by Hombale Films and with music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, the film promises to be a powerful mix of history, folklore, and stunning visuals.
