Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty, who recently bagged the prestigious National Award for his stellar performance in the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, has once again made headlines – this time for his bold remarks on Bollywood.
While promoting his upcoming production Laughing Buddha, Rishab didn’t hold back his opinions on Bollywood films. Speaking in Kannada, he pointedly remarked, “Indian films, especially Bollywood, often cast India in a negative light. These so-called ‘art films’ are celebrated at global events and paraded on red carpets. My nation, my state, my language – this is my pride. Why not showcase them in a positive light internationally? That’s what I aim to do.”
His comments quickly ignited a firestorm on social media, dividing opinions. While some users voiced their outrage, others stood by the actor, leading to a fierce debate online.
