Vishnu Manchu’s dream project, the devotional movie Kannappa, has finally made its OTT debut. Around 10 weeks after its theatrical release, the movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Usually, Prime Video releases movies at 00:00 IST, but the premiere didn’t happen at that time, leading many to believe it had been delayed. However, Amazon Prime Video confirmed just minutes ago that the movie is now available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. As of now, there’s no update regarding a Hindi version.
Akshay Kumar plays Lord Shiva, while Kajal Aggarwal portrays Goddess Parvati. Prabhas and Mohanlal appear in special roles. The cast also includes Mohan Babu, Priety Mukhundan, Sarathkumar, Madhubala, Mukesh Rishi, and others.
Produced by Mohan Babu, the movie features music by Stephen Devassy. How it will perform on OTT and entertain home audiences remains to be seen.
