The psychological romantic drama Guna, starring the legendary Kamal Haasan, has earned cult status since its release in 1991. The film, directed by Santhana Bharathi, remains a timeless favourite, with Ilaiyaraaja’s iconic track Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan still cherished by fans today.

Initially planned for a re-release in June 2024, legal hurdles delayed the film’s return to theaters. However, with the issues now resolved, Guna is set to hit the big screen once again on November 29, 2024. The re-release will be limited to Tamil Nadu, with no confirmation of a Telugu version at this time.

Produced by Swathi Chithra International, the film also features Rekha and Rohini in key roles. It remains to be seen how this classic will resonate with audiences upon its re-release. Fans are eagerly looking forward to revisiting this cinematic masterpiece on the big screen.
