Suriya has been in sensational form lately and has received the National Best Actor award for Soorarai Pottru. Presently the actor is working on his 42nd film with director Siva, the shooting of which is happening at a brisk pace.
Recently, a video surfaced on social media where the producer of Jiiva’s Mugamoodi (Mask in Telugu), Dhananjayan, stated that star actor Suriya was initially roped in to do this superhero movie. Mysskin, the film director, was also happy to have Suriya as the male lead.
But due to a few differences, Suriya opted out of this project, and hence Jiiva was brought into it. Surprisingly the movie tanked at the box office, and producer Dhananjayan noted that he lost a lot of money due to the film. Star actress Pooja Hegde played the leading lady in this flick.
