Legendary musician maestro Ilayaraja, has been selected as one among the top 25 greatest film composers in the world. The list was released by popular world cinema portal ‘Taste of cinema’. Ilayaraja is the only Indian music director in that list and is on the 9th place. Some of the other composers in the list are Hans Zimmer and John Williams.
Till date, Ilayaraja has composed scored music for more than 950 films in languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi,Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and English Languages. Presently, Ilayaraja is working on Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi’.
