National Award-winning Kollywood star Dhanush’s soon-to-release film, Idli Kottu, is gearing up for its theatrical release on October 1, 2025. The film also features National Award-winning actress Nithya Menon in a lead role.
As per the latest updates, Idli Kottu’s theatrical rights have been acquired by Rama Rao Chintapalli of the Sri Vedakshara Movies banner for Rs 6 crore. This is the highest-ever price for a Dhanush-starrer in Telugu. Dhanush’s SIR and Kubera performed quite well in the twin Telugu states, and Idli Kottu is expected to repeat the same success.
Idli Kottu’s Tamil version, Idli Kadai, is produced by Akash Baskaran and Dhanush under Dawn Pictures and Wunderbar Films. The film marks Dhanush’s fourth directorial project.Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, and Rajkiran will be seen in key roles. GV Prakash Kumar is the film’s music composer.
