War 2 is all set for a grand theatrical release on August 14, 2025. This much-awaited spy action drama, directed by Ayan Mukerji, features Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood icon Jr NTR facing off on the big screen.
A fun banter between the two stars unfolded today on X (formerly Twitter), catching the attention of fans across the country. Hrithik Roshan kicked things off by writing, “The war lines are drawn again. The name says it all. For every update and every reveal, this is where the action begins!”
Jr NTR responded promptly, saying, “War 2 updates and exclusives? Hrithik sir, we discussed this! There’s only one name to follow. Stay tuned because this war is just getting started!”
To this, Hrithik Roshan replied with a laugh, “Good one, Tarak! But the name is what I said it is. Let’s not complicate it, okay?”
Jr NTR quickly came back with, “Admit it, Hrithik sir, my version just sounds better. Let’s call it a win for me already!”
Amusingly, the two stars also promoted competing hashtags – Hrithik went with “HrithikvsNTR” while Tarak insisted that “NTRvsHrithik” had a better ring to it. This playful exchange between the two stars has only added to the buzz around the film. According to reports, the much-anticipated dance number featuring both actors will be unveiled very soon, with fans eagerly awaiting a glimpse through an upcoming promo.
Also starring Kiara Advani, War 2 is part of the YRF Spy Universe and is being produced on a grand scale. The music is composed by Pritam, and the film is set to release in multiple languages – Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, with an IMAX version also confirmed.
