Hombale Films announces Mahavatar Cinematic Universe – A mythological journey from Narsimha to Kalki

Kollywood’s proud production house Hombale Films, known for delivering blockbusters like KGF 1, KGF 2, Salaar, and Kantara, has come up with an unexpected and exciting announcement.

In collaboration with Kleem Productions, the banner has introduced the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe (MCU), a massive mythological animated saga inspired by the ten divine avatars of Lord Vishnu. The universe will unfold through seven epic titles, with the first one arriving this July.

Here’s the lineup and their planned release years:

Mahavatar Narsimha – July 25, 2025
Mahavatar Parshuram – 2027
Mahavatar Raghunandan – 2029
Mahavatar Dwarkadhish – 2031
Mahavatar Gokulananda – 2033
Mahavatar Kalki Part 1 – 2035
Mahavatar Kalki Part 2 – 2037

The first film, Mahavatar Narsimha, will be released in 3D and in multiple languages, aiming to bring mythology to life for audiences across the globe through cinematic wonder.

That’s not all. The makers are also planning to expand the universe with Mahavatar comic books and a gaming experience titled Mahavatar Brahmand. More details on this front will be revealed soon.

The Mahavatar Cinematic Universe promises a powerful blend of culture, storytelling, and visual spectacle, setting the stage for a new chapter in Indian animation.
