Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama, The Girl Friend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, is gearing up for a grand release on November 7 in multiple languages. Dheekshith Shetty plays the male lead. Presented by veteran producer Allu Aravind, the movie is jointly produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi under Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment.
In an interview, Dheeraj Mogilineni made interesting comments about movie promotions. He said, “Many producers don’t know how to market their films. They don’t even have it in their filmmaking syllabus. They have stuck to the routine template promotions. Some decently made small films aren’t performing since the makers are not allocating a budget for promotions.”
Dheeraj Mogilineni added, “Anyone with money can make a film, but according to me, movies shouldn’t be made if the makers have no idea how to market the product. Producers must learn how to promote their films and draw audiences to the theatres. Uniqueness is required in marketing. Sadly, some actors don’t even give dates for promotional campaigns.
