The latest action drama, Lal Salaam, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is off to a terrible start in Telugu states. Much to everyone’s shock, the morning shows got cancelled at many places due to poor occupancies. The situation didn’t get any better, even in the evening and night shows, and the movie registered negligible revenues.
The fact that this is coming after a blockbuster like Jailer is even more shocking. Though the makers said that Rajini played a cameo, the legendary actor is said to have got significant screen time, but that didn’t help the film a bit. From the very beginning, there was not much enthusiasm among the audience for this action drama, and the lackluster promotions had a bad effect.
