Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, which has been in the making for a long time, was actually scheduled for a grand release on January 10, 2025. Later, the makers went silent, with no further updates from the movie. After scoring a hit with Bimbisara, director Vassishta Mallidi took the responsibility of helming this big project.

The makers officially announced that an update is coming at 09:09 AM today, leaving fans eager about what it could be – whether it is about the release date, a special teaser on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, or something else.

Whatever it could be, in the meantime, we have come to know that Director Vassishta, who joined X Space last night, has officially confirmed that the movie is not releasing in 2025. However, they plan to release it in 2026, mostly during the summer season. This comes as a shock to fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film this year itself. Also, the movie is gearing up for a wider Indian release, with Hindi and Tamil versions hitting theaters along with the Telugu original.

Trisha Krishna takes the lead as the film’s heroine, with Aashika Ranganath stepping in for a significant supporting role. Kunal Kapoor portrays the antagonist, while Ramya Pasupuleti, Esha Chawla, and Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri play other important characters. Backed by UV Creations, the film has music composed by the legendary MM Keeravaani.
