Dhruv Vikram’s recent outing Bison directed by Mari Selvaraj is minting good collections and is on track to emerge as a box office success. The film stars Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead. Bison will release in Telugu this week, and during the Telugu promotions a journalist asked Dhruv why Tamil directors mostly make films based on casteism.
Dhruv Vikram said, “I think with regard to Mari Selvaraj sir, he makes cinema based on what he has been through in his own life. Every director has the right to make their art the way they want to. I think it (films on casteism) is still important when there is a social situation like this in India and especially in southern parts of Tamil Nadu.”
The actor further added, “It is important to address such issues and throw light on the things that still happen. Cinema is a good medium to educate people about it is what I feel.” Bison also stars Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Ameer, and Lal in pivotal roles.
