Today Sony LIV unveiled the gripping trailer of its highly anticipated Telugu original series, Mayasabha: The Rise of the Titans. Created by acclaimed filmmaker Deva Katta, the series stars Aadi Pinishetty and Chaitanya Rao Madadi in lead roles.
This intense political drama explores the journey of two close friends who eventually become ideological adversaries, leading rival political parties. The show draws inspiration from the real-life trajectories of legendary personalities YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu.
The trailer launch event was held today in Hyderabad with Sai Durgha Tej gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. The cast, crew, and media attended the grand event.
Speaking at the event, Devakatta said, “Mayasabha is a beautiful imagination and a cherished dream. It’s about two friends who share a deep bond but are forced to become political rivals due to grander events beyond their control.”
Devakatta revealed that he initially planned to make Mayasabha as a film. However, he started rewriting it as a web series with a seasonal structure during the pandemic. Devakatta praised the entire Sony LIV team for the immense support extended by them. “Mayasabha is not a product, it is a form of wealth you’re about to consume,” he added.
Deva Katta believes that viewers will feel as if they are watching a great Telugu film while streaming Mayasabha. The Republic director also revealed that he and his team managed to shoot the equivalent of three films in just 90 days. Co-directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar, the series is set to premiere on August 7.
