Dulquer Salmaan’s period film Kaantha drew the attention of audiences with its intriguing teaser and songs. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual is set in the 50s backdrop and stars Bhagyashri Borse as the leading lady. Samuthirakani plays a crucial role. Selvamani Selvaraj, who previously helmed the gripping docu-series, ‘The Hunt for Veerappan’ on Netflix, is the director.
Kaantha should have actually been released in September 2025, but Dulquer postponed it to give space to his production venture, Lokah. Now, Kaantha makers have unveiled a special video to announce the trailer launch date. Accordingly, the promotional asset will be out on November 6.
The film is set for theatrical release on November 14, 2025. Kaantha is being produced on a grand scale by Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Prashanth Potluri, and Jom Varghese under the banners of Spirit Media Pvt. Ltd. and Wayfarer Films Pvt. Ltd.
