Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie is setting the box office on fire everywhere. The gangster action drama directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj collected Rs. 240 crores globally in two days. The movie made complete use of the Independence Day holiday in India and posted solid numbers on day 2.
At the North America box office, Coolie continues to set the cash registers ringing. After earning over $3 million from premieres alone, this Rajini starrer made another $2 million, taking total collections past $5.3 million. The Telugu version is contributing significantly.
Coolie is expected to cross the $6 million mark by this weekend. The movie also features Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Hassan, Rachita Ram and others in pivotal roles. Sun Pictures produced this big-ticket entertainer. Anirudh composed the tunes.
