Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara was initially slated for release on Sankranthi 2025, but it was postponed to give way to Ram Charan’s Game Changer. That didn’t end well since the Ram Charan starrer became a box office bomb, disappointing fans and audience. A few opined that Sankranthi was the perfect slot for a fantasy subject like Vishwambhara.
However, there is another significant reason for the delay. After Adipurush, Vishwambhara’s teaser became the most trolled content online due to pathetic VFX. Considering the audience feedback, Chiru insisted the team to rework on the visual effects.
Later, the makers of Vishwambhara eyed a May release, but that is highly unlikely now because the graphic works have yet to be completed. To achieve good quality, the makers outsourced the visual effects work to the team behind Avatar. The latest buzz suggests that Vishwambhara might make it to the big screens for Megastar’s birthday, which is on August 22.
We need to wait for official confirmation. When the project commenced, there were massive expectations, but one teaser turned everything upside down. Reportedly, the movie has yet to lock the OTT deal, and the poor CGI is said to be the reason for it. Will the team be able to deliver good output? Only time will tell us that.
